Skip Counting in Tens
Skip counting in tens lays out the patterns fundamental to arithmetic. In these self-directed homeschool workbooks, students will internalize these patterns and pave the way to mastery over numbers.
The Number Lake informally introduces students to the tens place as the leading digit in two-digit numbers. The exercises start with simple multiples of ten ending in zero and end with arbitrary tens. Backwards counting is also used. The Hundreds Boards give students the opportunity to put to practice what they have learned on the Number Lake. The boards start out easy with full color-coded guidance. The exercises are repeated with lesser guidance with the last exercises virtually unaided by visual cues.
